Introduction

NEURON is designed to be a convenient and efficient environment for simulating models of biological and artificial neurons, individually and in networks. More about NEURON and its use can be read in this overview (pdf).

Installed versions

The currently installed versions are

NEURON/7.5 on hpc-uniol-env

and

NEURON/7.6.2 on hpc-env/6.4.

Using NEURON

If you want to find out more about NEURON on the HPC Cluster, you can use the command

module spider NEURON

This will show you basic informations e.g. a short description and the currently installed version.

To load the desired version of the module, use the command, e.g.

module load NEURON

Always remember: this command is case sensitive!
