Overview
The lecture Introduction to High-Performance Computing (HPC) is aimed at MSc or PhD students who are working on a numerical research topic and plan to use/are already using the local (or other) HPC cluster. The course gives a general introduction to HPC and includes many practical exercises on the local HPC systems.
Topics
The topics of the lecture include:
- Using HPC Clusters
- Parallel Programming Models
- Introduction to MPI
- Introduction to OpenMP
- Using Matlab Distributed Compute Server (MDCS)
- GPU Computing
- Data Storage and Management
